They are Here.
They are New Americans.
How Can you be Christ to Them?
The
Bhutanese New Americans Ministry at First Baptist Church
reaches out with Christian Hospitality in many ways.

Home Settlement
They arrive with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. We help set up
their apartment and provide them with the basics for starting off their new life
in America.
How can I help?
- Provide job leads - many of our New American friends are seeking jobs so
that they can establish themselves here in their new country. If you own a
business or work in a company that is in need of good employees, our refugees
are ready and willing to work. Most have received or are receiving job training,
training in the English language, and cultural orientation. Please contact
Steve Blanchard for more
information.
- Volunteer on our regularly scheduled Saturday workdays from 8:30am – 12:30pm to receive, sort, fold, organize, etc. the donations of clothes, linens and household items.
- Help prepare for new families as they arrive.
- Encourage your small groups to collect feminine products, rolls of paper towels, rolls of toilet paper,
diapers, basic toiletries and cleaning supplies.

How can I help?
- Volunteer a New American to church on Wednesdays and Sundays.
- Adopt a Family and pick them up on Wednesdays or Sundays or both.
(This can be done by individuals, families, Sunday School Classes, groups
