What about my children?
If you have children, you're probably interested in what kind of experience
they'll have at Richmond's First Baptist Church.
First of all, when you arrive, we suggest you drive into the Mulberry Street
parking lot and take advantage of our valet parking. We provide this service
especially for parents with young children and senior adults.
See other parking options.
Enter the building under the maroon awning. Go down the main hallway and
you'll find the preschool welcome area on your right. The children's welcome
area is on the second floor - just take the elevator off the main hallway. At
the welcome area, you'll be asked to provide some basic information. You will be given an identification card so that you - and only
you - may pick up your child after the worship service.
Then, someone will take you and your child to the room where he/she will
encounter God's love by playing and learning with other children of the same
age. Our caring teachers and workers provide age-appropriate activities in
beautiful, clean, well-appointed rooms.
See the weekly
schedule for Children.
If you have teenagers, there are activities and groups for them, too. Youth
One (6th & 7th grade) meets on the lower level, room LL18. Youth Two (grades
8-12) meets on the third floor. One of our greeters will be happy to show you
the way. See the weekly
schedule for Youth.
Our goal is to help your child learn about and experience God's love.
