Classroom Activities
Because we encourage the total development of each child (spiritual, social, emotional, physical and intellectual), a variety of activities are planned each day to meet individual needs. During the free choice of activities, teachers and assistant teachers will offer guidance, motivation, and encouragement to children on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. In this manner, we feel we can build upon the concepts already formed and introduce new ones at an appropriate time for each child.
Chapel Services
Our 3, 4 and 5 year olds attend Chapel every Monday at 9:30
a.m. in the Sanctuary. Each Chapel service includes a Bible story, music and prayer.
Birthday Parties
Each child bakes gingerbread for his/her birthday. Parents and siblings are encouraged to celebrate with us by reading their child's favorite book to the class. Many families donate a storybook to our school library in honor of their child's birthday.

Special Visitors
Our
special visitors include Betsy Q and firefighter friends from Station 10. Numerous parents share their time and talents with
our children.
Field Trips
Throughout the school year our children visit such places as the pumpkin
patch, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Teddy Bear Clinic at St. Mary's
Hospital, McGuire Veteran's Hospital and Children's Hospital.
